RACHEL STAPLETON COUNSELING, PLLC

I am licensed by the State of Washington, Department of Health, as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I have a Master's Degree in Social Work and my practice is currently virtual only with hopes of returning to in person at some point in the future.

I create a safe space for you to share your story and receive compassionate support. I work collaboratively with you in creating a therapy that is highly personalized to you and your goals. I assist you in seeing and building on your own strengths to create lasting change in your life. I provide supportive feedback to assist you in your journey of self discovery, healing, and transformation. 

I have a very strong professional background in working with individuals, families, and couples. I have extensive experience in treating mood disorders with particular emphasis on mood disorders arising from grief and loss. Prior to going into private practice I had the opportunity to work in several settings as a Social Worker, including, Child Welfare, Foster Care System, Adoption, working with children in families in crisis, working with adults and children recovering from trauma, at risk youth, Public Schools and School Districts, Medical field - working with chronically ill patients and their families, Hospice working with patients and their families at End of Life. All of this work has helped to shape me into a knowledgeable, effective, and passionate Therapist.

It is an incredible honor to do this work that I am deeply passionate about. I wholeheartedly believe in the strength and resiliency of the human spirit and I use my many years of professional experience and expertise to effectively address the goals of my clients. I have the privilege of working with people who courageously make changes in their own lives, it is a true honor to share in these moments and witness such transformation.
